Upon the husband's request, I've made Japanese Curry Rice tonight. In order to make a quick dinner, I've opted to use Vermont's Curry to make the Jap Curry Rice.
The box contains 2 of such cubes, 1 cube is enough for 6 servings. Needless to say, we usually eat over 3 meals. =)
Ingredients:
1/2 box of Vermont Curry
4 sticks of carrot
4 medium potato/7 small potatos
2 medium onions
1/2 packet of pork/beef shabu shabu
Method:
1) Cut the potatos, carrots and onions into bit size cubes
2) Saute the cut ingredients till they are slight brown
3) Add 4 1/2 cups of water and boil (The box states 5 3/4cups but I was unable to thicken the sauce even for a good 30mins, hence the best way is too cook with less water) until the ingredients are tender but not too soft.
4) Off the heat, place the curry cube into the pot and mix well.
5) On the heat and cook the shabu shabu beef/pork until cooked. Serve with rice/pasta/udon.
Try it!
